Kelly Carlin, the only child of comedian George Carlin, is writing a memoir of her relationship with her dad.

St. Martin’s Press acquired “A Carlin Home Companion” from Kelly, who said the book had been developed from her one-woman show by the same name. “The man you knew as George Carlin, I called Dad,” Kelly said. “I want to offer readers a rare glimpse of the George Carlin they’ve never seen or heard about before.” The book should hit the shelves in fall 2015, and promises to be a title you’ll enjoy, especially if you admired the groundbreaking comedy of the oft-times controversial entertainer.
