This tidbit just in….delivered… ahem….via Owl Post. A play based on Harry Potter will open in London’s West End within two years.
JK Rowling will not write the play, but she’ll collaborate on the story and co- produce. The play will focus on ‘the previously untold story of Harry’s early years as an orphan and outcast.’ As any Hogwarts enthusiast can tell you, the 7 volume Potter series began with The Sorcerer’s Stone, published in 1997. The books have sold more than 450 million copies across the globe.
The publishing world is magical, indeed. For more, check my website bookreportradio.com. And tune into my show the Book Report.
