Janet Maslin, New York Times book reviewer extraordinaire recently shared her 10 ten books of 2013.  Some you’ll recognize, like “The Signature of All Things” by Elizabeth Gilbert; Scott Anderson’s “LAWRENCE IN ARABIA; “Manson” by Jeff Guinn, “Life After Life” by Kate Atkinson; nos4A2 by Joe Hill; and here’s a surprise…”Never Go Back” by Lee Child.  But there are some undiscovered gems on the list…like THE UNKNOWNS by Gabriel Roth;SOMEONE by Alice McDermott; EMPTY MANSIONS: by Bill Dedman and Paul Clark Newell Jr.; and JOHNNY CARSON by Henry Bushkin, yes bombastic Bushkin…described as the dishiest read of the year.
