Peter Pan, the boy who never grew up, retains his magic….and is heading back to the big screen in several new projects.
Joe Wright, director of Atonement, is contemplating a Peter Pan origins story, from a script by Jason Fuchs, writer of Ice Age: Continental Drift.
Of course, popular film versions have included Disney‘s 1953 animation; Hook, the Spielberg sequel; And Finding Neverland, the 2004 film about JM Barrie, Scottish author and playwright who wrote the story.
Other Pan projects in production now include Peter and the Starcatchers, a prequel written by Book Report pal Dave Barry and directed by Gary Ross of the Hunger Games ; and Pan, yet another origins story developed by Channing Tatum.
The classics keep flying high. For all books, all the time, tune into The Book Report.
